About the mill
News of the Bouchet mill
Caline, the goat of the mill gave birth to two kids on the night of February 21.
A brown and black striped male and a little black female, they are both healthy and love capering around their mother between each snuckling.
PUY du FOU
Puy du Fou again and again.
After being recognised as the best park in the world in 2012, the Puy du Fou is again rewarded in 2013 : it was elected as the best European park.
Competition « The landscape of your town » 2013 edition
Tourist accomodation category.
The Architecture, Town Planning and Environment council of Vendée noticed our gardens and awarded us with :
The town’s First Prize,
The township’s First Prize,
The district’s First Prize.
It is for us the recognition of the work undertaken a few years ago, and a lot remains to be done. This year, the children’s playground will be enlarged to be even more flowered
. And the ducks will soon be able to frolic in their pond which is nearing completion.
Storm
The weeping willow covered with roses every spring was uprooted because of the severe winds of these last weeks.
We were aware of its poor health and thus, we made sure to plant a young one to replace it.
Work
It is done, the tanks around the playground have been planted with rose trees, campanulas, agoras, anemones...
Already next spring, you will be able to enjoy these new flower carpets.
Flooding
The Sèvre Nantaise burst its banks several times this winter, especially in February when it has made of the meadow and the parking a huge water body, to the pleasure of the grandchildren who enjoyed it to try canoeing safely.
